The series Harassment, based on the book "The Farce and Crimes of Roger Abdelmassih", involves the doctor who specializes in human reproduction. The plot consists of 10 episodes that portray the violence suffered by patients in the years that Roger practiced his profession.

If we trace the profile of the harasser, we can include some of Roger's actions. The office was full of luxury and beauty, as well as the cordial and articulate treatment the doctor offered, involving the victim and her spouse as an almost irrefutable offer to close the deal.

Roger became a victim while he was a resident in a hospital, and arranged to commit the actions without a witness, keeping the patient in bed-sharing with a visually impaired woman. Investigators believe that Roger chose the profession to satisfy his desires, classifying him as a psychopath.

You see, the violence that took place was not only directed at the sexual act, but the psychological factor and contrary actions such as attempts at caresses and coercion complement the scenario.

The series also shows the consequences of harassment for each victim, which illustrates the reality with milder or more intense recoveries. The most common feeling is guilt at having triggered some behavior of interest that justifies the harasser's actions. The fear of having a sexual relationship also exists, damaging married life and in other cases leading to divorce.

There are more aggravating situations for victims who are unable to react or ask for help, leading to isolation, depression, self-mutilation and even suicide. Even for victims who have the courage to share their experiences with their spouses, they are often not understood and end up being judged, while they should receive support. This makes the recovery process arduous and requires professional psychological help to manage the trauma.

Harassment is more than violence at a given moment, it is the summary of the entire process that the victim will have to go through in order to continue.
